Welcome to The Inside List, our monthly guide to what's happening at your place. In each edition we'll be selecting a range of things for you to watch, make, eat, drink, and more. Best of all, you won't even need to leave your front door to enjoy them. It's the most hyperlocal city guide you'll ever need.
April’s here, which means early sunsets, seasonal chocolates, and the low-key urge to slow down. Basically, it’s #stayathomeseason—a time to settle into your space and bring the world indoors. In this month’s list we're sharing a moving new Australian miniseries, textiles with soul, an animation app for all ages, and some decadent but ethical hazelnut-filled bunnies. It’s your guide to doing Easter right, right from the comfort of home.

LOCO LOVE's HAZELNUT HARES
These aren’t your average Easter bunnies. Loco Love’s Hazelnut Hares are a dreamy little ritual in chocolate form—vegan, organic, and handcrafted in Byron Bay with a blend of wild ingredients and serious intention. Think creamy hazelnut butter folded into rich, ethically sourced cacao, all wrapped in packaging that looks like a psychedelic love letter.
It’s indulgence, but guilt free: no refined sugar and no dairy, just pure pleasure made from plants. They’re a little nostalgic, a little luxe, but really they're just vibrating on another level. They'd also make a great for gifting if they weren't so hard to keep out of your own mouth. Try and share the love though.

NOA BLANKET co.
Blankets woven with cultural stories? Wrap us up! Noa Blanket Co. is a New Zealand-based, Māori-led brand weaving stories of whakapapa (ancestry), belonging, and identity into every thread. Their blankets are made from 100% New Zealand wool, designed to be passed down through the generations, not just pulled out for a single season. Each piece is a visual narrative, drawing from te ao Māori—the Māori worldview—with patterns that speak to family, resilience, and connection to place.
Basically, they're warm in every sense of the word, and while, yes, they'd look stunning draped over your Nation couch or bed, they also bring a layer of depth that makes your space feel more grounded and intentional. Perfect for slow evenings, big feelings, or just a bit of soulful texture this #stayathomeseason. Order online direct from the maker.

WATCHING:
THE NARROW ROAD TO THE DEEP NORTH
This one’s an event. A landmark Australian novel turned prestige miniseries, The Narrow Road to the Deep North arrives with big prestige TV energy. Adapted from Richard Flanagan’s Booker Prize–winning novel of the same name, it’s a story made for the close reading of the small screen and the intimacy of the lounge room. Shot beautifully and starring Jacob Elordi and Odessa Young, it tells a love story folded into war, memory, and masculinity. It’s this month's most anticipated streaming release and a rare chance to watch an Australian production with both literary weight and cinematic presence. Available from April 18 on Prime Video, just in time for the Easter long weekend binge.

HABITATS & HUMANS
"Cities are not just for people" is the opening salvo of Habitats & Humans, a Substack newsletter by urbanist and entrepreneur Barrie Barton, and it's these kinds of challenging yet considered statements that make it such a compelling read. The monthly publication explores the intricate relationship between our environments and identities, guided by Barton's unique, decades long experience in the arena. With subjects that range from gerontocracies to luxury islands, the author delves into how our surroundings shape who we are. Naturally this resonates with us and our interest in urban life, but there's something deeply, well, human about this series, so we think you'll love it too.
