Charlie Parker recognised as finalist in 2026 Urban Taskforce Development Excellence Awards

Charlie Parker (Nation Parramatta City) has been named a finalist in the 2026 Urban Taskforce Development Excellence Awards in the High Rise Metro Development category.

Located in the heart of Parramatta, Charlie Parker (Nation Parramatta City) is one of Nation’s first Build-to-Rent communities, a 24-storey tower delivered by Coronation Property and operated by Nation.

Designed by fjcstudio, the building brings together 123 apartments, shared amenity, resident services and digital-first operations to create a more connected way to rent in one of Sydney’s fastest-growing urban centres.

From its open-air pool, gym, sauna, cinema, co-working spaces and private dining areas to the Nation app and on-site resident services team, Charlie Parker (Nation Parramatta City) was designed around the everyday experience of residents.

The recognition reflects the strength of the building’s design, operations and resident offer. Charlie Parker (Nation Parramatta City) achieved 50% lease-up before opening and reached full occupancy within eight months, well ahead of typical Build-to-Rent benchmarks.

It also reflects the role Build-to-Rent can play in supporting more diverse housing choices in well-connected locations. With Parramatta continuing to grow as a major CBD, Charlie Parker (Nation Parramatta City) offers residents secure, professionally managed rental living close to transport, jobs, retail and civic infrastructure.

Public art, including Cloud Seeds by Milne & Stonehouse, forms part of the building’s contribution to the street and local identity, while sustainable transport initiatives including EV charging, bicycle storage and car share services support a more walkable, lower-emission lifestyle.
