Which room are you in today?
I’m in Costa Rica, working outside on a terrace surrounded by plants. It’s peaceful, and being outdoors helps me focus. I can hear Howler Monkeys, an eerie but incredible sound.
Which room is the most active in your house?
The kitchen. We are a family of food lovers, so it naturally becomes where we cook, eat, and spend time together. Family, friends, and good food make a home.
Which room gets the least amount of use?
The formal dining room. We end up eating outside or in the kitchen most days.
Which is your work-from-home room of choice?
My office, which has lots of natural light. I love keeping the windows open to hear birdsong—it’s calming and makes me happy.

What defines a great room?
Design and curiosity: I like uncluttered rooms that still have personality and a bit of edge. I don't like the overly polished, trend-driven, whitewashed look. Social media platforms are increasingly blending design elements into a homogenised aesthetic, unfortunately.
What is your favourite type of room?
Any room with interesting art. I love spaces that have a story behind them.
What is your all time favourite room?
It would be one filled with things I’ve collected over the years. Having lived in many places around the world, I’ve gathered an eclectic mix of items.
